A Little Extra Sugar May Not Make You Fat (MSNBC)

This article is very misleading, but does hold some truth. It says that “a little extra sugar may not make you fat” IF you cut down on other carbs to make up for it. (Duh, common sense!)

The researchers found that people who consumed additional sugar, but did not increase their calorie intake (they replaced other carbs for more sugary foods) did not gain weight.

HOWEVER

When study participants consumed more sugar in addition to their normal diet, participants gained about 1.2 lbs over a week and a half.
